FIRST, YOU MIGHT BE THINKING.  WHAT DOES A  SESSION AT THIS LOCATION LOOK LIKE?

Sutro Heights Park

Bay Area Family Photography, san francisco photographer, Family photographer san francisco, oakland East bay family photographerThis location is my favorite in the city, not only for photo shoots but to be.  There are lots of trees, flowers, green areas, views of the ocean, and it’s never too crowded.  Because it is near to the ocean, there is some risk of morning fog.  Karl the Fog has never been a problem for me, and the clients that I have photographed in the fog have loved it.  Pretty sure that there is some magical force field around it because this park is never windy. Like any park, grass tends to be wet. Make sure you wear shoes that you are okay with standing in some dewy grass.

Baker Beach

It’s a smaller beach with agreat view of the Golden Gate bridge.  On the beach, there isn’t much in the photos besides sand, water, and the bridge.  But there are also some wooded nooks right across the parking of the beach.   And if you want something that has an urban feel, the barracks provide a great backdrop. Make sure you wear shoes that you are okay wearing while walking in the sand or feel free to go barefoot.  It might be helpful to bring a pair of flip-flops to slide on if you plan on walking in the water a bit.

SESSIONS ARE ONLY 20 MINUTES, HOW MUCH CAN YOU REALLY PHOTOGRAPH IN THAT TIME?

san francisco family photographer mini session, bay area photographer, pearachute photo session, pearachute photoshoot, pearachute, san francisco pearachuteShort answer, a lot.  I’ve been photographing kiddos since 2008.  I learned in very fast-paced environments.  That means I know how to get a variety of shots in a short amount of time.  We’ll take a few photos in one spot, walk over to another and take some more.  In addition to my photography experience, I also have worked in education and pre-k classrooms.  There I developed a few skills to encourage cooperation from not just kiddos, but they also can work on dads too

10 days after the shoot you will be able to see your gallery of fully edited images.  There will be at least 15 images for you to choose from.

WHAT’S INCLUDED, AND HOW MUCH ARE ADDITIONAL PRODUCTS?

The session fee for minis is $200. You can also purchase a mini session voucher through Pearachute.  The session fee includes the session itself, access to an online gallery of your fully edited images, and 3 high resolution digital images of your choice. Everything else can be purchased a la carte.  You can check out the full price sheet on the pricing page.  For now, here are the most popular products:

5 ADDITIONAL DIGITAL IMAGES………$75
ALL DIGITAL IMAGES.$115
5×7 & 4×6 PRINTS……..$15
8×10 PRINTS………………….$30

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING TO YOUR SESSION?

I wrote a full blog post about (check that out here).  Here’s the short list of things I like to recommend you bring to a session:

Layers – Bring a jacket or san francisco family photographer mini session, bay area photographer, pearachute photo session, pearachute photoshoot, pearachute, san francisco pearachutesweater that you are okay having in your photos
Water/snacks – Kiddos might need a minute or two break and let’s face it, no one is in their best mood when they are hungry
Toy/books that you don’t mind having in the photos – If you bring a toy that your kiddo loves to try to get them to smile, chance are they will want to hold it.  Bring something you are okay seeing in your photos.
Blanket – If the ground is a little wet and you want to get some photos sitting on the ground a blanket is key.
Hair tie and/or Bobby Pins – We live in a city that can get quite windy.  Make sure you have a little something if you need to pull your hair out of your face.
Appropriate shoes – We’ll be taking these photos at the park or beach.  Make sure you are wearing shoes that you are okay wearing in these locations.

WHAT’S THAT YOU SAY? DO YOU WANT MORE THAN A MINI SESSION?

That’s great!  I also offer full sessions.  Those of you who are not on Pearachute, book one of those shoots me an email at kimberly@ksienk.com.  We can decide on a day and a location that works best for you.  Those sessions cost $450 and include all (30+) digital images.

ANY OTHER QUESTIONS?  DON’T HESITATE TO SHOOT ME AN EMAIL.

Looking forward to taking photos of your cute kiddo!
